Have you ever felt "violated"? Been assaulted? Been robbed? Had your home burgled? How did you react?

Once, yes, just once, my car was broken into and my stereo radio was stolen. Strangely, I felt angry. Almost as angry as the first time someone shot at me in Vietnam (and it was because my company commander mistook me for the enemy after sending me with a few men to scout his flank - but that's another story). I know I have strange reactions. I laugh when in pain. I made jokes while having a stroke. (Weird, huh?) But when my property was stolen, I felt angry at a really irrational level. How about you?

I had my car stolen twice. The first time, I was upset. Called the cops and they recovered it the next day. Of course, I didn't get a call until the day after. Then I had to go to impound and PAY to get my car removed. That pissed me off. The second time it was stolen (and never recovered) I was highly pissed and told the cops that if they find the thieves, to put a bullet in their knees

On my first burglary experience I had no satisfaction of recovery. The second time I did get satisfaction, which is a long story. I knew of a group of neighborhood kids that was behind it.

PO1 H Gene Lawrence - Our friend runs Super Stock in Division 7 of the NHRA. He had left his car in the driveway (he was going to do some tune up work) and went to the back yard to get some tools, etc. from the shed. He heard his car fire up and went running out to see it was about halfway down the block. He ran after it and caught up to it about 3/4 down the block. The kids (young teens) who stole it didn't know how to shift it with four shift gear levers. LOL!!! Dumbasses. And it also ran out of gas.... He was pissed until the cops came, then he just started laughing about it. He still gets a laugh out of it.

Absolutely felt violated by those little neighborhood bastards!
Three were held responsible. One paid me $50 of his ?$100 restitution in an attempt to clear his record so he could enlist in the Navy.
