So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

Annnnnd, go...

In a truck stop in Iowa, I saw a guy in multicam pant's and an under the armor top. He wore a Class A overcoat, cowboy boots, and multicam patrol cap. I asked him what unit he was in, he looked like he was about to puff out his chest and give a great zinger, but there must have been something in the way I was looking at him that made him stop mid puff and say "Nah, I'm just a supporter." I have to give him credit for honesty.

Yes, more than once, and I confronted each one.

Some people just need attention and an ass whooping. If he or she was never in uniform, they have no business posing as one. I'm out of the military now but I still frowned upon such actions. It ain't Halloween, and that's disrespectful.

I have seen many posers and stolen valor since I was medically discharged in 2013. I was in for 7.5 years and had been stuck on an MST for 1/26 blue spaders. I had friends who got out with severe mental issues and sometimes they wore their acu's with tennis shoes etc and were all jacked up on va meds that they just started to come up with different stories at different times about the same situation. It's hard to pick some out, but for the obvious people the can go fuck themselves!!!

One of my favorites was a guy I worked with. He was recruited to play football by Ohio State and Notre Dame, but turned down the offers to join the Marines. When I asked him about the sand fleas on PI he responded they didn't bother him much and he couldn't recall his platoon number. Then the story was he was hurt and he was in medical and made friends with a couple of MPs who would sneak him into town to party on the weekends, but couldn't name Buefort SC. After getting my entertainment out of him in front of our coworkers, I asked how where those "Marine" doctors. He replied they were pretty cool. I said you had Doctors that were actually Marines? His dumb ass said yes. I had already told a few coworkers prior to the question that the Navy does medical for the Marines. Dumbass then proceeded to tell me he really did have Marine doctors and since it had been a few years since I
was discharged that things changed, LOL needless to say he became the butt of jokes especially when he stated that he wondered what would have happened if he went a different played football for the ol green and white referring to Notre Dame smh

I would have punked him out right there and then . I would have made him strip off the uniform and let him catch a charge .

Just another sign of bad parenting. Seems to be a lot of that going on this day and age..
