So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

There's guy who is a cashier at the local grocery store. He's actually understated, just an "Army Veteran" ball cap. When I asked him what his MOS was, he told me he didn't have one, he was just an enlisted truck driver. But he claimed he made SFC in 4 years after graduating from boot camp at Camp LeJeune.

What's the harm? He's getting a little extra attention at Walmart. We wore the uniform to defend the right of others to express themselves freely, even (especially) if we disagree with them.

I joined the guard at an early age to pay for college and ran into a dude on campus who, keep in mind was 18 at the time, claimed he had been on three combat deployments as an 11B and that on the last deployment was in a vehicle that ran over an IED and that because of the damage it did to him they reclassed him as a 42A. I was gonna let it slide til he started saying he still had nightmares about the children he killed and had to sleep in a locked room to not hurt anyone because he had to sleep with a knife under his pillow to feel safe and almost killed his mom once by throwing one at her at as she woke him up. People are ridiculous. Turned out he was actually in the guard, he has just always been a 42A and wanted to sound cool to college chicks

Some people are just not right. Do you think this guy thought he wouldn't be called out. I actually saw him.....and the Marines that were at this County Fair were RELENTLESS to say the least.

I love the posers, the amount of details that they share and how far they go to convince you how bad ass they are.

All special forces are like fightclub. Don't talk about fightclub. I'm amazed at the number of special forces people I've met. Nobody pretending to be a cook.

The first thing I notice about the wannabes is how well their uniforms fit...LOL mine never fit that well.
