It doesn't really matter what we think. It is what the prosecution can prove.

True, for one layer of this issue but this issue has many layers and I think it will never only be about what either side can prove?

MSG Brad Sand - I see your point but at the end it will come down to what can be proven. The charges are so hard to prove anyway that I wouldn't be surprised if they handled this through article 15 instead.

I was out with about 20,000 other people looking for this ass clown in '09. Just because your E-3 ass don't like how the Army is running the show doesn't mean you get to go on a walk about. I usually am about letting justice work before expressing my opinions, but since me and my team risked our lives for this idiot going into places infidels have no business, I say stick a needle in him and be done with it.

MSG Brad Sand I hate to say it, but the most logical explanation is "he's crazy" (or was at that point). You cannot account for the actions of a madman.

Walking 19 miles to the next nearest base may have seemed like a perfectly acceptable idea to someone who was off his rocker. We don't get it because, well, frankly, we're sane. Have you ever gotten into an argument with someone that isn't "quite right?"

I'm not trying to justify anything. Far from it. I'm still waiting for the Hearing & CM to take place, because I want all the info to come to light, but "not right in the head" explains so much, and fits with A LOT of the other information already out there.

Thank you Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS

You know, I never really considered he was just nuts, but the more I think about it the more sense it makes.

MSG Brad Sand Occam's Razor.

I don't think it's an "excuse" but it is an "explanation" and once you have an explanation, then it becomes "Holy $&^$^, why didn't we do something about it?!?"

Again, reserving judgment... but there's a certain line of "personal accountability" v. "failure to supervise" and I'm wondering how wide that line is in this case.
