Hip Pocket Scholarship recipients, how do you make ends meet while in school (as I’m married w/2 kids)?

My name came down on a list of soldiers eligible to apply. I am interested in the green to gold program, but just exploring which of the options is most beneficial for myself and my family?

I went through college with a wife and kid, but that was a very long time ago--the 60s. I think some of the things we did may work even today. First, we had a lot of support from our family. Wife's parents lived in the same city and were very happy to babysit their granddaughter so we could work. I worked about 35 hours per week and carried 15 to 18 credit hour class load (sleep is overrated). My wife deferred her education and worked 40+ hour per week. We had near-minimum wage jobs (we were recent high school grads). We drove an old car and lived in the cheapest student apartment we could find.
