Just curious. Thinking of enlisting as a 36B for the guard, how do deployments look like? Are they stateside? Djibouti? Kuwait?
I heard a couple of AZ guard units just deployed early in Nov-Feb this year. Does it mean I'm out of luck until next 5 or whatever years for deployments?

We had 36B's do summer deployments to the PAB office down at Fort Benning to help with the summer surge of new recruits. They'd often help with things like setting up a soldiers profile in RECBASS or making sure their direct deposit was G2G. They were short deployments though, about 3 months in duration. Besides that, I don't have much first hand experience with them. The guard tends to deploy alittle more often than the reserves imo, as they also handle domestic deployments for natural disasters and stuff. We always had a few 36B's and 42A's to help sort pay and deployment orders. Come to think of it, you might want to check out 42A also, though they deal less with pay. Found a good thread on here worth checking out regarding which is "better".
