I've been out of the Army for 22 years. I've got to say that I've not had that sense of comaraderie since I left
i work with people that I feel I have no bond with, like the bonds I had with my fellow soldiers. These are people I've been around for a majority of my civilian life and I really don't know them.

So, yeah! I miss it. Maybe it's with a blurry eye as I've gotten older, but how about you other Vets, do you miss it?

Btw, I know some of you will roll your eyes, as this isn't one of your deep discussions on politics or pay/Vet Benefits. It's just something that's been on my heart lately, so bear with me...

The sense of camaraderie the most. RP helps that A LOT.

Other little things... triggers... triggers everywhere. I'll be doing something, and something will just remind me of a time. Sometimes a good one, sometimes no so much. But always vivid. There were lots of vivid times. Even the boring times were vivid.

I miss it so badly that I would go back in right now, even at age 57. I have not been as proud or happy as I was when I was in.

I'm active still I work at HQ where 2/3's of the staff is civilian. We don't have unit PT, your supervisor might be a civilian that doesn't even have a military back ground.
It's just not the same as working in a "military" shop.
I miss the field!!!

I totally agree with you! And no, my boss has never worn the uniform.
