I thought the webinar was a nice review of some of the new features. There was enough content that would enable a seasoned PowerPoint veteran to make an educated decision on purchasing the upgrade.

Don't go PowerPoint happy - lots of glitzy slides with animations and graphics. You are more likely lose your message and distract the audience.
For executive briefings, if you can't convey your message in 8 slides, you need to hone your message (I have some bosses that want it in 3 slides).
If a vendor comes to talk to me, I want 3 slides of a presentation, he can have an appendix with supporting data - don't waste my time.
