How can I cancel my orders to Korea due to an impending divorce?

I’m going to be going through a nasty divorce with children involved. I have contacted the branch manager and they gave my guidance on the paper work end. Is there anything else I can do to cancel my orders so I’m able to appear in court instead of the lawyer solely acting on my behalf?

Your branch manager is the one who approves your deletion, do as they told you to do. Prepare to get denied or only deferred, just because it's Korea. SSCRA allows you to defer the divorce until you return from Korea.

SPC (Join to see) Sorry you are going through this Luke. I have been there. Try going up through the chain of command. Also see the chaplain for your unit. They could be you best source of help.
