I am planning a staff ride for my Battalion Command Teams. The numbers I found on the website just keep ringing and none of my messages have been returned. The email address yields the same with no replies. Do any of you know someone who I can get in contact with one of the NPS employee tour guides to possibly participate in our staff ride? I just need a good number or email to get started. Thanks.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter Thanks for contact information. Hopefully I get some kind of response soon. We do have time and I'm sure they get booked up quickly.

A view of Pearl Harbor, beyond the aircraft carrier in the background is Ford Island, from left to right is the USS Missouri the ship upon the decks of which the Japanese surrender was signed. Also of note the on picture's right edge the USS Arizona Memorial. The airfield on Ford Island and a tower there have been restored. In the area of the Nimitz outside and to the right of the Gate to Pearl Harbor NS the visitor center is located, Ford Island has access by a Bridge which has been built more recently. Pearl Harbor NS also has a submarine Museum on the base proper and many other things to see. (click on the picture to enlarge for a better view)

The Superintendent's name is Jacqueline Ashwell (go to the top!) As kids my siblings and I always hoped dad would get transferred to Hawaii with the NPS.

During early WWII MY father in Law was stationed there in Hawaii with the US Army, during the Korean War My Dad was stationed there with the US Navy and My Mom and I were there with him. In 1971 to 1974 I was stationed at Hickham AFB, HI. My Mother's Aunt, who spent 30 years in the US Navy from which She retired also had been stationed there in Hawaii.

Are these numbers you've already tried? If so, I'd suggest calling the base public affairs office at JBPHH. They should have a POC over at the NPS. Or call the Quarterdeck and speak to the SDO or OOD, whichever they have. Or have your 1stSgt get on it and contact the PH Command Master Chief. SNCOs & Master Chiefs can find anything.
Best of luck.
Best of luck.

MSgt George Cater I'll will try them out today. Thanks for contact information. The Pacific Historic Parks number is new for sure. Not positive about the other but will check at work today. I think I crossed off about 3 numbers so far.

I just used the Staff Duty Officer on the Quarterdeck trick at NB Mayport, FL last Thursday to get a direct line to the base pharmacy. Duty officers, security and public affairs usually have to have good numbers for everyone.
Best of Luck

SCPO (Join to see) Thank you for the information on the uniform. I will bring this up when discussing during the planning stages. If they don't wear their uniforms, I know for sure they will wear appropriate attire for the staff ride.
