I received an encrypted email in reply to an important question. Unfortunately the email I received is encrypted with a little blue lock over the checkbox. As a result when I click on "Click here to see full version" I am presented with a blank email. I'm using the correct Internet Explore with all necessary DOD Certificates and I reinstalled the S/MIME control located in settings under options (as instructed by militarycac.com). Yet I have no access. I tried calling the help desk twice only to be told that I cannot be helped because I am using a personal computer. If anybody has some insight as to how I can fix this I would really appreciate it. Other than that I plan on making my way towards base sometime this week just to hopefully be able to open the email on an actual government computer.

Please take this for what it is, and that is not a comment about you personally.

Please go see your S6 and or your security manager and they absolutely can walk you through everything required.

I have been a communications officer for over 16 years and the Army has made it harder and harder to access encrypted emails from personal systems. I know I have everything setup correctly and I still only get it to work 50% of the the time. I will say this Internet Explorer is the only browser i have gotten it to work on so I can save you the time of trying other browsers.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one having these issues. I appreciate your insight Sir. I'm currently still working on resolving this.

If you are in the reserves you can use a virtual desktop as long as you have ARAMP
