How can I schedule a class 3 flight physical at LA AFB?

Are you in an aviation unit or trying to get into one? If you're in contact with an aviation unit they should be able to give you all of that info. If you run into roadblocks there, try contacting the State Aviation Office or see if your state has a flight surgeon at JFHQ.

I have an Air Force base within spitting distance of my house but I have to travel 90 miles to the Med Det or over 100 miles to Ft. Rucker. In my experience, dealing with the National Guard for this type of thing always works out the best when you're in the National Guard, especially if this is your first flight physical. Passing your first one is the hardest. All the rest of them are easy.

Have you tried physically going there and asking? That's basically the only way to get things done in the Army.

Get with your medical readiness NCO if you have one and see if they have a POC. LA AFB....Port Hueneme...two easiest places to get a Class III knocked out. Are you in a Crew Member/ Flight Medic slot?

Any true physical exam clinic can perform the 3A. It is basically a patient history, color vision, correctable to 20/20, depth perception and blood pressure screening. Nothing magical. If you are a Servicemember, sign up/register for RelayHealth.Make sure you hit "Yes you receive healthcare at an MTF". From there, find your Primary Care Manager by zip code and "add provider" them to your account. Verify your e-mail. You can now send your Provider a secure message from your cell phone

If the LA AFB isn't working (other than paying a DIRECT visit), then try Edwards AFB
