How can my wife, who is in Navy boot camp, talk to her career counselor to put in a co-location chit to get orders near my PDS?

Im active Marines on camp pendleton near navy coronado base. My wifes in Navy boot camp, they told her her orders for her pda will be given at the end of bootcamp because of her rate YN Yeoman. How can she talk to her career counselor to put in a colocation chit to get orders near my pds? Does she just go to A school and put in the navmc 1306 colocation chit to her career counselor there to get her orders changed?

Does she already have her follow on orders? I would make sure that her chain knows her spouse is active duty in another branch. Although fresh out of training that may be hard to get located near you. I would ask her to ask her functional to find out what if anything is near you and how they recommend dealing with the assignment process.

She, like you when you were going to bootcamp, doesn't get to pick where she goes. Bootcamp is the first thing but after she has to go TDY to YN A school and then her PDS.

Adding this. Take one step at a time, get through bootcamp first. It is not a cake walk. If she doesn't make it, she COULD lose the school
