How did you spend Christmas; while serving overseas?

Controlling aircraft. At midnight on Christmas Eve a deep voice came booming out on Guard frequency saying "This is God on Guard - Happy Birthday, son." Immediately following that was a smaller voice saying "Thanks, Pop!"
It kept me smiling the rest of the night shift.

one Christmas I pulled Guard duty Back to Back so another solider could be home with her children she wanted to pay me I told her the next day at formation merry Christmas

While deployed, pulling a shift on the perimeter and running mail and chow to every position, every Observation Point. The Commander and I would be on the move the entire day to get to every location but would not have had it any other way! While not deployed, we get in the mess hall and serve chow to our troops.
