I have been told that both of my MOS's (12T and 25B) can count toward college credits and I was wondering how do I go about doing that? I have also been through CFD-IC, classes through PEC and online training courses.

You get your Joint Service Transcript here;
https://jst.doded.mil/jst/
Then you enroll in a college, give them tuition money, and transfer these credits to your college transcript. A college accepting your transfer credits towards their degree program is what gives you college credit.
You can also pick up credit fast by passing CLEP tests for lower division courses, at a civ ed center or at the college.

Jacobb, if you can get your training transcripts from the army, and then go to a college counselor, they can put some/most of your training into credit hours. Mine was the the Community College of the Air Force in Maxwell I believe. Good luck and use what you can. Brian

How do I get college credits for my military service?
For the Army, Navy, Marines, or Coast Guard, go to the Joint Services Transcript (JST) website. Fill out an Official Transcript Request to share your transcript with schools online.
For the Air Force, go to the Community College of the Air Force website.

Keep in mind the college you are applying to has the last say in credit transfers

Everyone is repeating it here and providing the links for direction.

The key is the civilian schools are the ones that hook you up with transferable credit. If at the beginning if your AIT course there is a civilian school there trying to take your money in exchange for college credit for the love of god take them up on it.

I scored 20 semester units for Military Intel AIT. I didn't need it because I came in with a degree, but then I transferred my GE credits to the Jr College aligned with the 35F school (Cochise College) and they turned my $50 into an Associated Degree in Intelligence Operations.

Again, not a life altering thing, but it's another frame on my I love me wall of accomplishments.

Also....... WROST CASE these courses add up in just random extra electives. So when one is sitting a 110 units completed with 120 required you wont kick yourself at the free units you could have hooked yourself up with when you only need 10 more and they literally could be anything.

People should be aware that there are a number of University's that don't give credit for ANY military course outside of ROTC and some are very generous. Here, UK is a pain in the butt about accepting even credits from the State Community College system and wanted me to redo all my underclassmen stuff when I attempted to go back for another degree program (I'm an alumni). I called another of the state colleges in my area, since I suspected that this was typical UK BS (as I said, I'm an Alumni). Not only would they have accepted all my UK Credits, they offered enough credits for my Engineering schools I could have almost graduated with a Construction Management Degree after the first Semester.
Needless to say, the UK Alumni funds don't get donations from me.
