Now that everything is supposed to go thru IPPS-A, I would say that you would need to submit a PAR in that system. But, I would certainly bug the hell out of S1 to make sure your part was done correctly

SSG (Join to see) - Those 7 years most certainly should be on your Points sheet. Why they are not, that I can't answer. Unfortunately, I've not served any time on ADOS so I am not sure how that even works. But, I have known other folks that did ADOS tours and at no time did they ever say they were not given credit for points.

Hit up your BN S1 or RPAC.....which ever is closer. You will need support from either or both IOT get your points fixed.

As far as my ADOS time. It does reflect that I have the correct points, but I received an X under the "Good Year" column and in the remarks section it states the reason is "Exceeded the yearly limit" So if I am reading this correctly it's because I have entirely too many training days for that year? Makes absolutely zero sense.

SSG (Join to see) - I assume the "Good Year" column you're referring to is column 8 ("qualifying for retirement") or column 9 ("total points creditable"), as I'm not familiar with a "good year" column.

The "exceeded the yearly limit" is the comment used when your non-active duty or funeral honors points exceed the yearly cap (which has been 130 points since the beginning of FY08). That "X" doesn't indicate that you have a bad year, it indicates that something is wrong with the points entered in and you're not getting all of them.

If you check the row that the "X" is on, very likely you won't see any points in the "Active Duty Points" column (column 8) and instead have them in the "Inactive Duty Points" (column 5). If that's the case, then someone screwed up putting in your information and didn't code it correctly as active duty time and put it in as USAR IDT points.

As MSG (Join to see) stated - IPPS-A PAR, select the Admin Records Update PAR and route to your S1 Pool Unit HR Professional (ARA, RPAC or S1) will will then further route the PAR to the Retirements Points Team Workflow Template Name RC_HRC_RPMD_ORD_PAB_RETSPTS or Workflow Template ID [login to see] 34156.

The only thing I could add is even though you are sending in your source documents with the PAR, make sure that everything is in iPERMs as it could cause a rejection of the points update if it's not (if your orders, DD 214, etc. aren't there, then obviously the iPERMs clerk that was responsible for uploading it didn't do their job).

HRC does say that there is a backlog in processing retirement point corrections, but they don't say how much of a backlog they have. If you submitted the PAR a few months ago, and it's still not updated (or if you're getting close to retirement), then I would send a message to the RPMD Retirement Points Team* asking for further assistance.

COL Randall C. Thank you. I can confirm that my DD 214 is in my IPERMS for my active duty time as far as column 9 for my “Good year I can confirm that it is from time served mostly on ADOS and some while on reserve status. I’m thinking the second mistake will be more of a difficulty to correct.

Prior to IPPSA, anyone transferring to USAR from anther branch required a point correction (to add the previous service time). IPPSA is going better, but if you were caught prior to 2023 then you will need to submit an 'Admin Record Correction' 'Other' PAR with your DD4, separation orders, DD214 and copy of your incorrect 5016.
