How do I know if my clearance is still active?

I am trying to apply for an account with Clearance jobs and I have to ask a verification question and one of them ask do I have an active clearance. I don't won't to perjury myself or set myself up for failure.

Did you have a clearance of any level for your MOS? You could always contact a colleague with JPAS access and have them look you up. Takes about 30 seconds.

Rule of Thumb: Active clearances (and access) are usually a local unit/function/assignment activity and handled by your local security office. If you've been read out of access, then your clearance is still valid, just inactive.
Special Security Background Investigations (SSBI) are only good for five years. If it's been longer than that since your last update, most likely your clearance has been invalidated. Easy enough to re-accomplish but your new employer will be responsible for the cost of the SSBI update.
