I was on the fence about asking, because I have seen leadership on here bashing soldiers that does not know. I am an E5 in the National Guard. I show up 2 days to 2 weeks a month. We never wear our ASU's. I have since earned more awards and ribbons, and have no idea how to find them nor what they are or look like. I go to ALC in OCT. Any advice would be appreciated.

Edit: I am specifically looking for answers on where I go to see what awards I have, what order they go in, and etc. AR670-1 should tell me spacing and placement.

If you're wanting to know a good website to see what order your stuff needs to be in (without having to pay for it... medalsofamerica is a great place.

Your bottom ribbon row will be 1/8 inch above the seam of the left breast pocket. Everything else, AR 670-1 and DA PAM 670-1 will tell you the rest of the spacing for all your uniform needs.

However, if you're near a military base, there is usually a small little booklet with plastic measure/placement device for sale.

Branch/US Insignia instructions: DA PAM 670-1, PDF page 243

SGT (Join to see) - Between your IPPS-A profile and your ERB from RCMS, and you will see what awards you have been given. Another source would be your iPerm.

SGT (Join to see) - Also, once you have your uniform set up, leave it be unless you need to update and/or dry clean. And, IMHO, if I were present at your unit, it is not you that I would chastise (although I would give you a raised eyebrow) for not having the uniform set up nor knowing where to look.... it would be your higher NCOs that I would admonish for not properly mentoring you and setting you for success.

The nameplate is worn centered left to right on the flap of the right breast pocket and centered between the top of the button and the top of the pocket

Weapon(s) qualification badge(s) will be 1/8 inch below top seam of breast pocket, centered unless more than one, in which case they will be 1 inch apart
