How do you avoid answering the "stupid" questions about deployments?

You all know the ones I mean "did you kill anyone?","did you get to shoot your gun?", "did you see dead people?", etc.... just wondering how folks approach this....I tend to either flat out ignore the question or just say "I don't really want to talk about that." .....anyway just looking for alternatives.

I had one of these questions asked to me at a job interview. "Did you ever see some action?" That was awkward as hell. I was thinking to myself "Really dude?" I can't exactly remember what I told them, but I wasn't too happy about it.
