Acap
Do you think that its worth the amount of money that the Army puts into it and are the transitioning Soldiers gaining any value from the program?

ACAP is like "most" other military classes, you only get out of it what you put into it.

I agree Kristine, in regards to the timing of the classes.

It is a good program if you ask questions, stay engaged, network, know which path (school, work, small business) you want to pursue, and stay proactive. Also, there are ACAP and TGPS (Transition, Goals, Progress, and Success) courses available to everyone on JKO. You also maintain the ability to access ALMS (Army Learning Management System) upon ETS.

I retired in 2012. I went to ACAP with a Soldier that I was chaptering out of the Army. So, for 23 years of service, I received the same four day course of instruction that my Soldier who failed to maintain basic minimum standards was afforded. I think that there should be a Chapter ACAP and a retirements / honorable discharge ACAP.

I do agree that there should be separate ACAPs.

Agreed. Although I felt that the program was not much of value either.
