When in the military, keep your lips sealed when in a public venue. Veterans should be restrained to policy issues and not name calling. Everyone should speak as if the President is in the room with your grandma.

When I joined the Air Force in Jan 1984, President Reagan was starting his second term. For me, he was a great CIC and was a much better leader compared to Jimmy Carter.

Are you talking all Presidents or just Biden and Obama? Look what Congress did to Trump impeached him even when he farted. This is our government now its no longer serve the people it's vote me in and watch me do what I want. There is only few representatives out there that remembers that on both sides for the people. I myself understand going green BUT you just can't stop fossil fuels and go green when an American, citizen or serviceman can't afford an electric car even when the country itself has not the materials to do so. And if I remember it's freedom of speech Biden himself called Douchy a SOB thats the president of the United States that said that about a voting citizen. Even our own the president in office does it. Good example there!!

It's their right as a citizen. If you are still on active duty, you probably shouldn't publicly criticize our commander in chief.

Soldiers criticizing the Commander in Chief is ok depending on the audience. Just a bunch of PFCs complaining about the President before formation is no big deal. However I think it is poor taste for NCOs or officers to do it (outside their peers/friends) because you are just undermining your own authority. Same thing about the company commander, if you criticize your own chain of command why should the troops listen to you?
In regards to veterans, they are not under DOJ policy of the UCMJ or in position of authority, so they can say whatever is guaranteed under the 1st Amendment of the same constitution they volunteered to defend. Unfortunately it seems like a major American party has completely forgotten about the importance of protecting even vile hate speech from censorship. Because they will eventually come for all speech they don't agree with.

While on active duty I bit my tongue and stayed out of political discussions. As a retiree, I can say what I want, you don’t have to like it but that is one reason I was in that uniform! Protecting to rights guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights!

I have always shown respect for the president while serving .Even when I had to take my own money to get supply's to train my solders and we had to get locale people to release there land for ground troop training.I was in the national Guards at the time .To make it sound good I called it the SGT fund, I didn't say it was from the deep cuts from a Clintan . I just sucked it up and drove on .But at that time I never spoke ill Of the president even thoe I thought it . He was my boss so I made do with every thing I had to train my scouts as a E-6.Were the uniform and keep the mouth zipped. If not you Give our enemy's the thought that the army won't fight .

If you're a vet, you're free to criticize. I do believe that the office of the Presidency should be respected, but we need to remember that we've had a couple recently that took Deferments rather than serving like we did...I'll never respect someone that did that..

I was in a long time ago. But the President s the Commander in Chief.
I swore an oath to defend the Constitution, not just parts of it. And in the Marines I obeyed all of the legal orders (never received an illegal order) is was given.
We weren't worried about some needle the Corpsman poked in our arm or our butts, we were headed to Nam, and Charlie wanted to stick a bayonet in our butt. That you worry about.
No offense, but the military needs to send all of your cupcakes packing. Obey your orders, do your job, or join the mob outside your gates.

Left or right Republican or Democrat I don’t care, you have every right to criticize the POTUS that’s one of the many rights we fight to defend as service members.
