Really, this is a question?? A Veteran is a person who served in the military. An active duty person is one who is NOW service in the military. Both are American citizens and have the right to criticize the President for his policies; however, neither can make threats to harm the President. President Smith is a two-faced liar and total scumbag. I will vote against him and support his opponent in the next election. That is my right.

If your in uniform No, or your still active it's not the right thing to do. But once your out and become a civilian then thats becomes free speech.Thats my take on it.

I, (state name of enlistee), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. (So help me God). If you are openly criticizing the president of the United States as a leader can you be trusted to carry out the orders you disagree with? Just my opinion.

Active duty should never be allowed to openly and publicly announce their personal opinions of the Commander in Chief, they are your chain of command. The one and only time anyone should voice their opinion is; refusing to execute said order if it is unlawful / unconstitutional, then and only then should they be allowed to criticize their Commander in Chief without reprisal.

I served 25 years as an enlisted Marine and Airmen before I retired from the AF Reserve and 2 years later commissioned into the Army Reserve. As a serving officer, I abided by Art. 88 - and advised my friends in and out of uniform that I would not openly bad mouth a sitting President. With 35 years in uniform, I retired Sep 21 and even though no holds are barred, I find myself still hesitating to speak openly or directly about the current resident of the Oval Office. Not because I agree with, appreciate or accept anything he or his 2d have done for and/or against this nation but because I've learned that you can't fix stupid and that those who elected the current Administration refuse to accept truth and fact when they see it. I do believe Karma is a B--CH and that 46 & Co will have it bite them in their FPOC. You must respect the Office. The Man or Woman holding that office must Earn it.

I'm a combat veteran...he's a moron! I think the military has bigger fish to fry. You let mental illness enter the military, specifically Transgender! And you're complaining about someone expressing their disdain for some incompetent boob that is backed by leftists. You must want your soldiers to be deaf, blind and dumb.
