It IS allowed. First and foremost we are American citizens with first amendment rights. Speak freely, but responsibly.

If retired from active duty on a military pension, you can criticize the POTUS action respectfully and within reason; however, if you're on Active Duty, criticism may effect your promotion to the next rank.

Every veteran and service member has the right to their own opinions. Service members are allowed to peacefully (First Amendment) express those views as long as they're not in uniform or representing the military out of uniform (for example, in business casual attire at an AUSA convention). Veterans (DD214 in hand) not employed by the federal or state government or contracted to work for the government are free to express opinions anytime as they are no longer in uniform nor bound by the oath of office or enlistment. Veterans employed by the previously mentioned are prohibited from expressing political views or opinions during "duty," aka work hours.

Question. Would you follow a CinC who gets lost on stage, habitually lies, plagiarizes, falls down stairs, demeans the US to other nations, and cannot function without staff prompting him, and is cognitively defective and leaves troops behind in a national disgrace withdrawal and leaves billions of dollars of military equipment to the enemy? What you now have is a frustrated military that no longer trusts, and the dismal recruiting numbers show that young folks know a bad deal when they see one.
Sorry, I wish I could speak more generously. But you know the "ole duck thing", if it walks like a duck, is yellow, and quacks like a duck then it must be a duck.

I don't agree with any body criticizing our president Democrat or Republican because they are elected by the people to serve the people that's what make our nation so great the freedom to elect our representative.

Respect the office , trash talk is tasteless and unhealthy. If you have a problem with your commander use your chain of command to resolve the issue. You represent all of us, always look sharp and always be respectful. Be mission ready.

I for one am not impressed with name calling of a sitting president. More and more the military has shifted towards being aligned to one party, and we bash those who do not share our view. To that end, I would point the words of first president "When we assumed the soldier, we did not lay aside the citizen." Every soldier has the right to vote, and within that right is the ability to choose the candidate you prefer, not what the mob prefers. When we allow others to dictate our choice, we have surrendered that very thing that makes us a Republic, the ability to choose representation.
