I should add though absolutely no name calling but you can say that you dislike them and what you don't like about what they do!

I think anybody has the right to say if they like or dislike a president whether you're in the military or not!

You took an oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution and to obey the orders from your superiors.
If you don’t like your Commander in Chief, every 4 years you can vote to remove them.
Even if Politicians don’t respect the Uniform you should, stand strong and always remember your duty is to protect the Nation, The Constitution and the American people regardless of who is in office.

1A absolutely matters. Those that volunteered to defend the Constitution has the right even when it comes to criticizing the president.

GREAT. Another great thing about being an American.
There are facts and opinions. Given how bad pedo Joe has screwed the entire country the mere assumption soldiers MUST follow every order 100% is absurd.
UCMJ says somewhere that they don't have to follow ANY unlawful order and even one that violates ones religious beliefs.
I don't care if it was Obama and the few previous who were bad enough. There is a difference between the rank/office and the person. All actions have consequences.

Depends on how it is done. Every Citizen has the Right and Responsibility to take part in our governing process; VOTING is basically casting your opinion but it not public unless you make it so. Backing your chosen candidate is a very American thing to do. Denigrating those you oppose unfortunately is too but shouldn't be. Focus on policies rather than personality would be my advise but even then you WILL run into some snowflake officers/senior enlisted who get butthurt because your opinion wasn't the same as theirs. Back in the day (Desert Storm) I was opposed to the operation as I felt the USA was being "played" by certain interests (primarily Saudi Arabia & Kuwait). No doubt Saddam Hussein was a terrible leader and a horrible human being and deserved the hanging he got but it wasn't our business...I'm not an isolationist by any means...but the truth is it doesn't really matter which nation (SA, Kuwait, Iraq) controls which oil wells they will work together to stick it to the west from time to time...so I couldn't see spending US $ & shedding US blood for their squabble and S.Hussein was a stabilizer against Iran...so my personal thought was LEAVE IT ALONE, let the Middle East & Europe if they want to settle it out...but the U.S. President unfortunately saw it differently, but I still made my opinion known and then volunteered to go and do my duty so others wouldn't have to. But that is just how I roll. Every American has the RIGHT, the ABSOLUTE RIGHT to their opinion...how you voice it while serving in the DoD is the critical issue IMO. Always be respectful, but be true to your own thoughts and feelings at the same time.

I swore an OATH TO THE CONSTITUTION FIRST. I’m retired, and now I’m an AMERICAN CITIZEN and I’ll say what the fuck I want when I want and any Liberal pussy doesn’t like that they can kiss my ass. PRESIDENTS ARE ELECTED NOT APPOINTED, AND I WILL NEVER TRUST THIS SON OF A Bitch OCCUPYING THE WHITE HOUSE NOW! If you can’t see what this asshole is doing to our country you have lost your mind. His administration has weaponized the DOJ, FBI, IRS, and any other alphabet soup organization out there, and they are destroying our Military. I don’t give a dam how you dress behind the door of your house, but when you put the Uniform on, the CONSTITUTION, and the COUNTRY COME FIRST. There is no room for cross dressing transgender bullshit in the military. For all you liberal Democrats, this is not a war of the left and Right, it’s a war of RIGHT AND WRONG, MORAL AND IMMORAL, ETHICAL AND UNETHICAL. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND ALLOWS A CHILD TO GO TO A TRANSGENDER FREAK SHOW AND LET THEM SHAKE THEIR BALLS AND ASS IN A CHILDS FACE. AND THAT TRANSGENDER FLAG HANGING ON THE WHITE HOUSE WITH THE AMERICAN FLAG DRAPED ON EITHER SIDE IS A NO GO IN MY BOOK. WE HAVE SOME SICK PIECES OF SHIT RUNNING OUR COUNTRY. I am exercising my Freedom of Speech under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution for the United States. I spent 25+ years defending it, now I’m going to use what so many have served and died for. The only people who will have an issue with what I say are a bunch of liberals who support socialism, because you sure as hell don’t support the Constitution and the freedom of speech if you do.

Personally, I am tired of this culture of not taking responsibility, blaming someone else for their problems, and just whining and bitching about every little thing someone doesn’t like.
Name calling is immature and ignorant, it serves no purpose, you are not In second grade anymore fighting over toys in a sandbox! My response to that is, if you are not trying to find the solution then you are part of the problem!
Another is synonymous with the Monday morning quarterback, if you can do better then go for it! We the people seem to have forgotten, somewhere along the way, that politicians work for us! We pay them, we put them in their jobs, if we don’t like something that they are doing then write them up like you would a slacking employee. Tell them that you don’t like their actions and attitudes. They need to hear it not the guy sitting next to you, not every other crybaby on Facebook, tell the politician! Start at your local level, go to town meetings and express your concerns, offer solutions. Write to you reps and senators, run for office yourself, and above all else, vote them out with someone with a brain who has ideas and integrity. We listen to too many promises without plans. Challenge candidates to explain HOW they plan on accomplishing these promises. Write to your elected officials, tell them that there are better solutions and encourage bipartisan solutions! Hold their feet to the fire!!
Instead of complaining and name calling , we all need to grow up and look for solutions! This, us against them mentality has to stop, it breaks us apart and perpetuates hatred! It is unbecoming and asinine. Stop blaming and start solving like responsible, mature adults!
United we stand, Divided we fall!

I think there are ways to facilitate respectful and rational communication. And, of course, there are ways to prevent respectful and rational communication. There are ways to communicate respectful insights and perspectives without name-calling and down-right vitriol. The reason that politics is (and religion are) considered off limits in discussions is that discussions can quickly turn into name-calling and defense-producing acrimonious, rancorous, bitterness and spitefulness. At one point, after seeing so much unproductive and irrational name-calling (etc.), I thought I'd leave the R.P. web site. Like many retirees and veterans, I have service-connected PTSD and MDD. Name-calling and savage, venomous, poisonous, maliciousness are triggers to PTSD and MDD and I have to avoid them if I want to remain sane. So, in response to this question, "How do you feel about veterans or Soldiers criticizing our President?" I think it depends upon how criticism is communicated and what motives criticism. Good question. . . .

I don’t usually jump in on these “political” commentaries. But, in this case some folks seem to be blending the facts. I agree as an ACTIVE or RESERVE component of the Armed Services, the appointed person is the Cmdr in Chief. However, one may feel about it I was taught as a young Marine “You don’t voice your personal believes” the old “chain of cmnd”. But, as a retiree there is nothing that should prevent us from voicing our concerns or complaints. After all, I served and supported stupid diligently for 27 yrs. Once, the uniform was off and hung up we regained our right to free speech and have no constitutional obligations, no UCMJ or other regulatory restraints. Other than to be “professional, unbiased etc,”. I personally don’t see the gain in bad mouthing anyone in media. As for who or what we think that should be represented and voiced during election years. (Although that even seems to have been tainted and the power of voting reduced for the avg American). By all means we are entitled to opinions, but slandering and name calling hasn’t ever fixed anything. I can hear brain cells churning now
