I have no faith in the political leadership in our country on either side of the aisle.

In uniform, it is never correct. If speaking as a citizen, as long as it is clear you’re speaking on behalf of yourself only, I have no problem. My personal wish would be a disclaimer that you are not speaking on behalf of the military.

Veterans have every right to bash or say what the want. I just hope they can back up their statements with a good logic. Active duty, I think is different. Bitching and griping is one thing, public bashing with anything that identifies them as active duty is questionable.
I didn’t vote for Biden, but I respect that he is my Commander and Chief. As a Vet,
I’ll say what I want but if this old (I’m not that old) solider is ever called upon to pick up his rifle again and defend our country, I’ll do so, regardless if I voted for that President or not.

If the Commander is inept or a total fool, must you keep your mouth shut and follow him to hell? No, our military personnel are not lemmings, to follow blindly. Your freedom of speech and thought are not abrogated because you put on a uniform. If anything negative is said, it must be followed by proof. To blindly follow a leader who lost the ability to think, is the mark of a fool….

Soldiers and others who have as their boss the CIC, no matter how many levels up he/she may be. NO! Anybody else including veterans, YES! That is America. Thank you all for allowing it to be so.

I seem to recall our Oath saying we shall protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. It also says something about obeying the orders of the officers appointed over you. That doesn't mean you can't disagree with the CinC. That doesn't mean you have to respect the person, but you damn well better respect the Office. You have an opinion, you can freely express it, but don't resort to demeaning, belittling comments. Disagree with policies, disagree with political nonsense, but always bear in mind, we are supposed to remain apolitical, not partisan.

the way i see it,we all make decisions, opinions, ideas that arent really shared by others, but i also think that we can comment on the decisions others make but just not in such a mean and nasty ways.we are all in this together.
