I don’t care which political party is holding office at any given time. They’re all liars and thieves. Just my opinion.

Each and every one of us took a solemn oath to defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I spent 33 years doing my utmost to make good on that oath. The politicians appointed over us take a very similar oath. The bedrock of our republic rests on honor, self evident truths and inalienable rights. The bedrock of our republic rests on the fact that rights do not come from government, they come from God Himself, as is clearly articulated in our founding document, the Declaration of Independence.
There is a fine line between free speech and questioning the actions and attitudes of our leaders, and attacking the office of the President itself. It is one thing to say I don't agree with someone, and it is another thing to say something that is openly hostile. In trying to defend freedom, I believe it necessary to practice some level of the freedoms we are defending, and most importantly, the freedom of speech - the freedom of conscious. This is not to say we just pop off at the mouth and say anything we want, but, certainly as a retired officer, I gain the right to say what I think (a right that all American civilians possess and exercise freely) within the bonds of professionalism.

Depends on the president. Not a fan of anyone supporting a lying, wannabe fascist because he shares their "Values."

Let's look at it in a different manner. Being in the military or retired or changing military is just like any other job in America. So will say that the Supervisor or co-worker and in this case the President is or is not doing a great job. That's just how it is. We ALL have done that or said things about our boss either in front of their face or behind their back. Again that's just what EVERYONE is doing or have done. Where it beings an issue is how you go about what you say. For most of of talking shit is just what we do. I do it everyday on something. I have never acted on or will act on anything that i say that others may not agree with. Why you ask it's because I know better. So all in all I'm very much ok on Veterans or Active Duty people criticizing the President as long as it doesn't go any further than just having a beverage and talking amongst your peers or co-workers and that's it. When it becomes a problem is when you start threatening or act upon damage or bodily harm is where I have the issue.

Man, look ... Every time someone runs for President, they are scrutinized from head to toe to soul. To me, there is no difference, so you should be able to speak up and say something if something seems wrong or out of place. Really it's all about tone and way you ask or point out something that doesn't agree with you.

Confines of being in uniform aside, all speech must be free or none is. It doesn’t matter what I think of what they say.

First of all I'm a Retired Army Veteran..free to say anything I want about anybody I want...its called free speech..the 1st Amendment...While in uniform Active duty personnel have to adhere to the this is not a Democracy policy which is correct. But. Once again when out of the uniform
as in retired, and or Honorably discharged that person has the right to say anything he pleases....God Bless America!!! Also...President Biden is an elected President, but not my President per say...I didn't Vote or will ever vote for him...LETS GO BRANDON !!!

If you are on active duty & have a security clearance, you have to remain very PC. In private it is one thing to say what is on your mind but not on social media or anything like that. That also goes for US policy. If the US sides with a terrible nation, you better watch how you talk about what that ally is doing. Do not voice support their enemy either. Take the Balkans for example. The US was in bed with Serbia. Serbia even had a USO retreat in Yugoslavia. The country falls part. Serbia does evil things. You have to bite your lip. You will be warned that you can lose your security clearance no matter how rotten our buddy is. Then Serbia committed it's "first" recognized act of genocide & they were no longer friends of the US. Now you could say whatever you wanted. When it comes to the Commander in Chief, officers have to particularly careful. Bad mouthing in front of the troops is considered mutiny. The way I look at veterans, nobody has come right & said that we cannot voice our opinions like any other American citizen. However, choose your words carefully. DHS may come knocking if you get too loud. Especially in troubled times like now. It is like the US is having it's own cold civil war right now.
