Recently I've been hearing countless remarks, and seeing posts from soldiers and veterans alike. Down talking our commander in chief. How do you feel about this? Should this be allowed within our ranks? Does freedom of speech really play a part?

I’d say be consistent. If you were ok with it because you didn’t like the President then you should tolerate it when you do like the President. Saying it’s ok for “MY” guy but not the last is hypocrisy which demonstrates a lack of character. Or you could just STFU altogether and not be critical of ANY president.

There should not be any criticism while you are still in - active or reserve, unless you want to destroy your career and end up like the Marine Light Bird who did so recently talking about throwing rank on the table, whose name is eluding me at the moment. Since I am now out and have never served under the current administration, the current commander in chief having to carry a prescreened list of who to call on at pressers and saying “Now they tell me I’m supposed to do X” is the weakest CIC in the history of America. He has destroyed our energy jobs, cancelled our Keystone XL pipeline while approving Russia’s NordStream 2 making us once again energy dependent upon despotic regimes who hate us. His profligate spending is directly causing inflation in everything from energy, lumber, housing, commodities and numerous other areas of our economy. His retreat from Bagram and Kabul and incompetent withdrawal directly caused the death of 13 service members. He then provided aid and comfort to the enemy and committed treason by leaving hundreds of American civilians behind in a hostile country without any support whatsoever then gave the Taliban a kill list with all of their names. His Marxist Keynesian crackpot ideology has failed everywhere it’s been tried. It devalues the currency and increases inflation. No one should ever follow unlawful orders such as those providing aid and comfort to the enemy. That would make you in violation of your oaths also. Do yourself a favor and get out while you can. Your integrity is not dependent on someone else’s, and you certainly don’t need to wear a patch on your arm or awards on your chest to maintain it.

SGT, the USMC LtCol recently discharged never criticized the Commander in Chief. He called for accountability for the disaster that was a result of terrible military planning and execution.
Also, your point about “career” uncovers the problem with the old ‘20 year retirement’ entitlement. Officers are supposed to examine, outside of the CIC’s authority, where or not an order is Moral, Ethical and Legal, and if not the officer is bound by the Constitution to refuse the order, even at the risk it will have to his/her career due to political fallout. An officer’s oath is different than an enlisted oath for that explicit reason. Look no further than forcing military members to choose between experimental medicine (shots for SARS COVID II) and their ability to serve their Country.

We still have an obligation to the nation that takes precedence to our oath or anything else I will never support any dictator who is emplaced by concealed backroom maneuvering like the fascist GOP tried in the last election. Anyone with more than the 1 dead braincell requirement to be a trumpkin knows how hard Pence actually tried to to thwart the will of the people. Anyone who supports the far right agenda is no longer fit to have the honor of being called an American. And now they also want to get rid of our secret ballot.

No Mark Kelly disgusts me . He took an oath when entering the military that never ends. All his retired rank ,pensions should be removed, along with his removal from the USA congress. We do not need men like him in any policy making position

It to me would depend on the situation. Let me say you have Freedom of Speech. However you DO NOT have the right to Disrespect anyone in your Chain of Command. Nuff Said.

Your first duty as a soldier is to the country of America and its people and to uphold the constitution of the United States. To protect from enemies both foreign and domestic. This joker in office has committed every offense known to man. He is an American terrorist. The word liberal is in the same category as the word taliban and isis!! America has been invaded and the biden terrorist has allowed this!!
