Late nights, early mornings, lunch breaks, coffee breaks, weekends, some of us seem to be addicted. So what are some of the warning signs?

- You start half of your face-to-face interactions with, "So I read this thing on RP the other day..."
- A military-related question occurs to you, and you search for the answer on the RP discussion threads rather than ask your supervisor.
- You're supposed to be studying for an exam, but you justify spending "just 10 more minutes" on RP.

I never realized it was missing until I begin reconnecting with friends from my old unit, and with my old unit itself. Although we did not all serve in the same unit or same service, we did all serve, therefore, we are all family in my book.

CSM Charles Hayden Passed 7/29/2025
SPC Thundercloud, Are those 'wings' on your chest? Your profile reads 'admin'?

CSM Charles Hayden Passed 7/29/2025 it's the Basic Aviation Badge and I'm not sure to what you're referring when you say that my profile reads 'Admin'. SSG (Join to see), you don't have to be a 15-series to be awarded the crewmember badge.
EDIT: Here is a link to learn more about the Basic Aviation Badge. If you're a UH-60 crewchief and also an NCO, this might be helpful for you to know. Please see 8-27 in 600-8-22: http://www.apd.army.mil/pdffiles/r600_8_22.pdf

My name is Steve, and I'm an RPaholic.
Sleep is the only time, however, instead of waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I check RP.
I am still trying to figure out how I can work my classes around RP this fall.
Withdraws... Internet went down for a few hours last week and I started having DT's

I feel like if you THINK that you have spent to much time on here, you're either afraid to see what people have to sey or you don't want to further your leadership abilities. This site is AMAZING. Its like having over a million excellent NCO's and Officers to help you through any and every aspect of your life or to at very least get some good solid information and advice, at your finger tips. I love it! I feel like I'm not on it near enough!

Welcome to RP. I cannot speak for others, although from some of the posts I have seen, i am not in the minority, this site is pretty addicting. Better than Facebook on steroids.

You're addicted when you immediately have to see what comment was liked or who made a comment on what you posted!

When some Marine 2LT, who shall remain anonymous, use 1/2 their daily quota of thumbs to blow sunshine up an anonymous retired MAJ's 4th point of contact.

1. You can spell all your contacts' names correctly without looking
2. Your spouse tells you to put the laptop/tablet down and you reply, Yes, 1SG"
3. You troll the site for the new 0 response posts
4. You just figure out that "RP" and your initials are one in the same
5. You spend more time on RP than Facebook and ebay combined.

You find yourself (guilty as charged) editing your own responses for grammatical mistakes, hours or even days after the original post.

It's for maintaining good order and grammatical discipline within the ranks. I see no issue with it. :-) Morning Capt (Join to see) !

Good Morning MAJ Robert (Bob) Petrarca (Sir). I agree...I have used it multiple times. Usually after posting from my phone. Auto correct is my worst enema (Think I saw that in the meme thread)

"You unlock this door with the key of conversation. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of words, a dimension of text, a new state of mind. You're moving into a space of both opinions and satire, of regulations and comedy. You've just crossed over into the RallyPoint Zone. "
ne ne ne ne, ne ne ne ne, ne ne ne ne....

I think the #1 sign that you spend too much time on Rally Point is when you post a question and then answer it yourself!
(sorry, Sir, just had to jump on that!)

A tip of the hat to Col (Join to see) and SSG V. Michelle Woods - Your name actually appears in a RP discussion question and people worry about where you are and what you're wearing. :-)
