So with the school shootings I've heard a lot of talk from people questioning why don't the schools "hire" retired military members to stand guard at schools? What's your opinion on this? Would this be something the retirees would do? How many would you think each school should have during school hours. Should the retirees volunteer & would it work for rural schools as well as those in the city?

I don't think you can look to Vets for all the issues in our society. What's the next idea? Arming the JROTC instructors?

I think the solution is to repeal the Gun Free School Zones Act and allow those who are otherwise qualified to carry to do so. Definitely keep TRAINED school resource officers onsite and increase the amount of time LEOs spend on firearm safety and tactical maneuvers. LE spends too much time training on public relations and not enough on firing their weapon if needed.
