How does constructive credit work for AMEDD accessions, and how would enlisted prior service factor in?

I have 9 years as a practicing medical professional so I was given 7 years constructive credit, and will have my DOR backdated 7 years upon reporting to AD this summer. I also have 9 years prior enlisted. I'm still a little fuzzy on how this works for promotions, TIG, TIS, etc.

Active duty enlisted time counts towards TIS, pay, and retirement. Nothing else really. Your AMEDD officer promotions are based board appearances and results from TIG as your current rank. Your branch manager will show you your board appearances based on below zone, in zone, etc.

I think based on what you’re saying you should be in the MAJ range but crazier things have happened…

MAJ (Join to see) - Sir, my orders show a PEBD, DORRES but those are the only dates. It then says that, "DOR IS TO BE ADJUSTED BASED ON CONST CREDIT OF 7YRS/0MOS/0DYS." Both BOLC and DCC welcome packets state to bring NGB22, DD214 to determine any changes in TIS.

Yes sorry. Someone in personnel during inprocessing should calculate everything for you. You’ll get some form with the new BASD and DOR post constructive credit application then. I have no idea why it’s not done prior. CPT Chris Kramer
