How does RST work? Do you have to reschedule training the same month you missed?

I recently had a whole life change of events, I was flying once a month to my home town for drill and to visit family, but I found out I was pregnant and it's been hard for me to do anything because I have severe morning sickness. I asked my Platoon SGT if I could reschedule training because at the time I was in no shape to travel either it be on a plane or drive. I ALSO had a change of life events, my husband is regular Active duty Army and we found out he needs to have Chemo for testicular cancer. She approved me to RST, but I need to find a unit that will take me, with everything going on it's been hard to even leave the couch and I'm not even sure where to start. Can I go to a recruiter to find a unit?

You SHOULD do your RST the same month you miss BTA. SHOULD being the operative word. Not always the case. Most units are lax in letting the RST take place within 60 days of missed BTA (either on the front end or back end). Yes, you will need to reach out to other units to see if you could RST with them. You could also reach out to the Recruiting Station in your town to see if you could perform your RST with them. If they are good with it, and your unit is good with it, then report when you need, fill out a DA Form 1380 of all duties performed on each day, and submit to your unit for pay.
