I go to FT Drum this year but do not know how the process works. I am still a few months out from my report date, but I wondered if anyone could give me a play-by-play of what I need to do and what needs to happen before my re-assignment. Where should I start?

The play by play is your PCS Levy brief. If you haven't received it yet, it's online at your post reassignment section

If the unit/installation you're in is squared away, you should receive an email anywhere from 60-150 days out stating what steps need taken for you to receive orders and how to out process. Pre-COVID there was an in person briefing that was mandatory called the Levy Brief. This brief gives you all the information you should need on how to out process and move on to your next duty station. Figure out how to find this brief at your current location and all the questions you have should be answered.

Also FWIW, ensure your government travel card is up to date and valid so you won't be hit blind sided by moving you/your family across the country.

Good luck

Go to your levy brief and lean into the existing process. When in doubt speak to your team leader, Plt Sgt, etc etc.

I like to try and handle things with the resources available to me, such as this platform. Before adding to my leaderships tasks throughout the day. If i can figure it out without having to put another task on their platter it is helpful.
