...and so look at the coward who covers his face....glad that's not an Air Force uniform. Looks like it's time for an Article 15 and no rank at all. He obviously doesn't have my back. I won't have his....

Shouldn’t be too hard to find a SPC with Old Abe on his/her/it//cat/dog/they//can of spaghetti, right shoulder. It’ll be way harder though, to find one wearing outdated ACUs. Well, maybe in the circus that clown works in.

You are a volunteer in the armed forces. No one made you join or forced you to say the Oath of Enlistment, reread it, Bud! Since you are a Specialist in the Airborne, I take it you Volunteered to be in Airborne and were not forced into that outfit. Grow a pair and live up to the uniform you wear. We all face danger and unlike you are not cowards. Do not like the orders of the Commander-in-Chief, get out and become a politician. In the meantime take off the Uniform if you are going to protest.

I'm really skeptical of this picture, given the Soviet (I know... they're Russians now) propensity for disseminating disinformation. If this is a real US soldier, then I'm with the majority here in thinking he needs to be flipping burgers somewhere. If he's not...then just look at the effect he's had just here on this board. All I'm saying is that we need to be conscious of the fact that warfare today is still waged on the propaganda front as well as the shooting front...and Ivan is a master of it...

I agree with the majority here, that of he/she had a point to make, then stand up and make it without hiding behind a piece of paper and accept the consequences. But I have another question I want pose to everyone on here. You do have to think at times and not just follow orders. That was the purpose behind the Nuremberg trials, that just following orders is no excuse, you have to follow the law.
So my question is, should a body of the government decide to pass a law such as rescinding the 2nd amendment, and you were ordered to enact this law by confiscating weapons or securing cities under curfew while the police collected weapons, would you obey because it was an order??
This may seem absurd to some, but as we all took an oath to uphold the constitution, do you just blindly obey and follow orders? Our rights which are in the constitution and bill of rights were not given by man,but end owed by our creator. Hence the reason religion is an important part of our society whether you choose to partake in religion or not.
The founding fathers knew that there was a very good possibility that men, who are easily corrupted, may try to take away the ability of the population to protect itself from a tyrannical government, which was the purpose of the second amendment.
There are other rights as well which could easily be taken away but that is just the most known one which everyone seems to be aware of.

While I respect his/her point of view, I respectfully offer that this gesture is an act of selfishness and one who should have never volunteered to serve our beloved

First, he need to take his in uniform pick off of the internet. Yeah, I know. Once on the internet, it xtys on the internet.
Second, he needs to go file for Consciencous Objecttor status, if his concerns are legitimate.
Third, I saw the same type of attitude, at the begining of the second gulf war. Simply put, you may have joined for the college money and benifits, but unless you can really justify your position, you gotta pay the piper for that check you wrote.

This particular post is likely propaganda. As for actual soldiers posting actual opinions, you do you, but don't do the crime of you can't do the time. I'm not sure why people would put themselves on the line like that, when nobody really listens to our cares about your opinion and are actually just more likely to laugh at you as they scroll by T&P. The fact is, most servicemembers who post things like this are narcissists who believe everyone wants to hear what they have to say. Seems to be a pretty common theme in today's society. If you're in the military, it's just best to shut your mouth and do your job like the rest of us.

I believe we should have helped provide the MIG planes Ukraine needs to gain air superiority but no boots on the ground unless Putin attacks a NATO country. Then we're all in, like it or not.

You’re in the wrong profession. You chose to enlist, you took the oath. You have 3 options, obey orders, get out or go to jail. Pick one.
