I thought the ACU was phased out for the OCP? Leads me to believe this might not be legit. If he is in, I disagree with this presentation in uniform. I do agree with his message though. We have no business being in Ukraine and giving them absurd amounts of money. They are not a NATO country! All of that money being sent there should stay in the US. Our government has a massive spending problem. We shouldn't be giving away money we don't have to give. Ukraine should borrow the money themselves instead of getting freebees from the rest of the Western World.

His last two statements are the most worrying. He signed up, and is in the 101st Airborne according to his patches, and is subject to where the Govt decides to send him. As to the appropriatness of his posting a "political" message while in uniform.....there are regulations, but they're murkiy as to 'how' to implement them.

Can this be confirmed as a real post? There have been a number of deep fake posts showing up on the internet lately, including one of Sen Rand Paul that was totally out of character.

The background suggests an attempt at disinformation. It is not something beneath the ability and inventiveness of the Soviet-come-Russian propaganda machine. At the very least this is an outdated picture, since I believe this digital uniform has been out of use for a number of years (not sure because I am a bit long in the tooth and last wore BDUs 30+ years ago).

If it is real and is current, then the argument of no political statements while in uniform stands for this soldier, just as for all of us, and this soldier needs to be up front and become a conscientious objector, or ask to be released from active duty, including all that entails as far as lost Veterans benefits and returning enlistment bonuses.

If someone believes in a cause, they should be willing to stand up for and defend their beliefs and should be willing to accept the future outcomes as a result. All of us promise to do so when we raise our right hand.

Seems as though some “remedial training” is in store for someone like that.

This guy angers me because he swore an oath and I certainly wouldn't want him in combat with me, covering my back.

My initial reaction is he’s just following along with the highest ranking soldier and his moronic political comments. Yes, Milley the ‘man’ who was going to warn China if a strategic strike was ordered…BTW anyone know where CJCS falls in the chain of the National Command Authority? If memory serves he’s ADCON at best with the primary responsibility of advising POTUS, and his approval is not required. Unfortunately I think once he retires he’ll be busy shooting off his mouth as a never Trumper.

First of all, no Americans have been asked to fight in Ukraine, and second of all NATO is a lynch pin of our security, so I expect all military to be ready to fight to defend it. Sorry, I had to go to Kenya and Somalia when I was in, and that made less sense than this does. I didn't want to go. I didn't like Mogadishu. Kenya was cool, but there I was in a 5 star hotel, but that's another story.

He’s wrong whether or not it was for propaganda. He’s doing it in uniform. Unacceptable
