He took an oath before God to obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over him. Full stop. Stupid speedy 4.

You are a soldier.. You will follow all lawful orders issued to you or suffer the consequences. Take off your uniform before you get political. And don't hide your face like the cowardly terrorists do.

This is totally disgraceful if you are truly a Soldier young man. I am sure that some platoon Sergeant or 1sg out there can ID you by your stupidity. To top it off you are wearing an 82 Airborne combat patch. There are no such thing as being able to disgrace yourself and that great unit that you apparently was supposed to fought with. Your job as a soldier is to respect the uniform you wear and the country you support. Not to say the respect you are bringing to yourself and your family for not leaving up to the constitution and the disrespect to our Commander and Chief. I don't care what your political belief is. When and if the Commander and Chief says ruck up and fight. There should be NO comments from a rookie toot specialist accept for YES SIR and a loud and proud Hooh Rah. Get your head out of your 4th point of contact and stop fooling around with this crap. I think you are a fraud and disgrace or this is just a posting made using AI.

While I agree with him, sure it's wrong. But is he really in uniform would be the question. I remember back in the day, the uniform regs were pretty specific on what being in uniform meant
I’m calling this whole thing fake. The Army phased out ACU’s almost a decade ago, and this person is holding a sign protesting a war that started just shy of 2yrs ago and is wearing a uniform that is no longer authorized for wear…….

I think this guy is not a Soldier, and he is just trying to convince the public that the Service Members are against any direct intervention in Ukraine.

Totally out of line ... he should've worn his bermuda shorts instead of the uniform he rented from Western Costume ... if he actually is a GI he needs some intense WWC. No problem with the free speech, of course ...

First off he shouldn't of done it in Uniform. But Second, this isn't Political, if you read books like "All Quiet on the Western Front" many soldiers will always have doubts if the war they are ordered to fight in is just or unjust, worth the blood or not. That is the Conscience of the Soldier speaking and is a sign he has one. I won't support or denounce his view on our interventions, weather they are right or wrong will hopefully be answered in retrospect. But everyone needs to stop assuming every word is political, though if you study political theory democratic systems tends to alter the Masses thought process into making everything, even the personal as Political. Just throwing that out for us to roominess on and start de-overpoliticization of basic opinions.

I was never asked for my opinion on anything while in the Marine Corps or later in the National Guard. I officially didn't have an opinion then or now. So why the big stew over a young person holding up a sign. You don't see this everyday like you did in 1969. Remember the public reaction after 9-11 with all the flags and people going into the armed forces, the unprecedented appreciation of all service members. Those citizens are still out there and can be counted on to support the decisions of the President and the JCS. "And that's all I have to say about that."
