Going from Marines to Army you'll probably keep your rank, but it seems that going from Army & Marines to the Air Force or Navy there's a good chance you'll lose a grade. I've seen a few Marines switch to Army, and a few Sailors as well. Idk what walls you'll encounter going Air Force but I hear it can be done so if you want it go for it.

Believe it or not, I had someone in my Tech School who did just that. It was in 1976, but it can be done. Biggest problem going from service to service is what happens to your rank. You may have to lose a grade or two when you change services. Check with an Air Force recruiter. They will tell you what to expect. You may also have to wait a while to get in. Air Force always seems to have a backup getting in because so many people want to join. Good Luck in whatever you decide to do!

Because you can only take so much stupid before youre tired of it. The Airforce gets treated hella good.

Those guys had really good food too. Like a lot of guys, i passed through a particular air force base on the way home from deployment and they had all the amenities. That pit stop was a vacation in itself compared to where we were living. Good luck, brother.
