My reserve unit is the 94th MP co and I’m a unit supply specialist is it hard to get a second mos to MP? And in the same building there is combat engineer unit what’s the chances of getting a combat second MOS either the MP or a combat engineer?

SPC (Join to see) Andrew, not hard at all. Just ask your Readiness NCO or Unit Admin to put you in an MP slot and send you to school, or if you prefer, the Engineers, ask them. Caution though, if you received an enlistment bonus for a supply slot, and you leave that slot, you jeopardize your bonus.

SPC (Join to see) - MSG is completely right on that, make sure you check with your NCO and go over your enlistment contract again before you make a decision.

First since you are not moving out of the AO, you will need to get a release from your Command, remember they got you until your enlistment is up (unless things have changed since I have been out). Next there needs to be an opening in the unit you want to go to and the receiving unit is willing to take you and pay to send you to MOSQ. Once these hoops are jumped, not too difficult.

I had no problems, as long as there is an opening in the MOS that you want.
