1. What has changed?

In this I mean personally, have you learned more made new friends, gained a better understanding of your sister service?

Select your branch and give your response.

Mines: Since I been here in RP, I found myself to be somewhat the same way as I was in the military again. I always kept quite, didn't communicate too much with any one, but have come to know many very wonderful SM and veterans in all branches. I have been very thankful to all those in RP for creating this site because it has become a part of my daily activities and things to check. For me many new and great things have happen in my life that without Rally point would have never been possible.

I think there is a similar thread but this one has a survey.  Anyway I've learned a little about some of our sister services.  I know this is dominated by Army, but I've seen some Marines chime in...normally on standards stuff, a few AF, and probably fewest Navy.  I've appreciated all of their feedback and points of view.  I just wish there were more of it.

I feel the same way too SSG Burns, learning about all the sisters services was something I didn't have the privilege of when I was in considering we didn't have laptops or computers that were accessible by every one.

UPDATE: 4/22/2014 Time 12:39 AM

On this survey the following shows the total count of all those whom voted.

If you support your branch in the military your vote in for them.

I know I seen many members of the Coast Guard around and lets get all the Marines involved in this one. I sit on 5th place of 79,378 Veterans but that's Veterans I only got 24 Votes. I need every vote every one needs to vote so I can get my free Happy Meal :)

It is all relative. The anxiety of not having military type to talk to, is well tended. Having people, that I can talk to, about things only we know.

Although it has been a short time since I joined RP I have noticed leaps of changes in myself. Although it was a personal choice in leaving the Navy because of want to be the best mother I was still leaving behind a vet important part of my identity.

My choose to leave came with some serious consequences, I feel into s depression that I could crawl it of. I started gaining a lot of weight and want being the parent I left the Navy to be. Street I merry my husband and him being former Navy as well helped but I was still feeling unmotivated and depressed.

I have noticed that I have a drive agaun. I have already started planning and putting into motion the plan to better myself for not only my family but for me! RP has mad me think of myself again instead of always outing everyone else first, I feel like I'm part of something great again I have the personality back and the drive I had when I was active duty!

I was doing ok after getting out except being sick and in pain a lot. But when I really got bad it was fast, and the news of my being poisoned was the cause made me have a stress related heart attack, the depression was so horrifying and then I shut down to the world. Friends did not understand or believe it, I also had shock and depression and all around me including myself first went into denial. But now with Rallypoint others talk and share their troubles, share there point of views in a more understanding respectful way. It has really opened me up to things that felt like it was going to explode in me. But now Rallypoint has made me feel love, understanding, guidance, and like I have a family again.

I started a RallyPoint account a while back but the moment I got the app and started getting engaged in discussions, I was compelled to delete my Facebook. Now I'm Facebook-free for about 2 months. Could RallyPoint be acquired as a .mil? (Rhetorical Question... Please Don't).

I don't go on facebook as much anymore either. But then if I don't go on there once in awhile with family and friends out there, they worry. Last winter when I did not go on there for a few days I had people on snow mobiles come up to check on me. So I still go on and leave a message now and then but like you am here more now.
