So right I am waiting I getting an assignment so I can get orders. I am tracking EFMP has to be approve first which is complete but what's next and typically how long? Also is branch or HRC the ones that make the assignment?

Branch is a subsection of HRC. HRC has many branches including Retention Branch, EFMP Branch, and your CMF Branch.

Retention or your Branch finds an open spot then sends it to EFMP branch to validate that EFMP support is available. Depending on the type of EFMP that can be one to three months depending how backed up they are

Thanks for the information. My EFMP is approved I'm just waiting for an assignment which I thought they went hand in hand.

Ask-em. The army set up a new marketplace type thing where they give you a list of places to go. My marketplace is open right now. I had 74 places to choose from.

SGT (Join to see) I know for me, when I PCS'd from JBLM to Germany, it took a little bit of time. EFMP was approved, it took another 30-45 days to get my assignment and my orders cut. As far as who does it, I am not sure since I haven't been in the Army for too long.

Any time man! EFMP was the reason why I had to defer my orders when I PCSd here to Germany. A whole 60 days later. I just did another EFMP packet because I am getting transferred about 4 hours away. Still considered a PCS so I still have to do all of the same steps as if I were doing an ACTUAL PCS. Good luck, Battle.
