My recruiter just sent up my request for a Air Force MOS. I am prior service and the date the prior service class starts is 14 October. How long should it take to get an answer whether I am going to be getting this MOS? I have heard 3-4 days. Anyone know for sure?

CPO (Join to see) and PO1 William "Chip" Nagel may be able to help you. I personally have never dealt with one. I'll see what I can find out, though!

SSgt Ryan Jones - Sorry, I'm kind of clueless, I stayed Navy my entire time. you would think that it wouldn't take terribly long to confirm your seat in a class though.

Is it contingent on anything else like a trip to MEPS or a Prior Service "Bootcamp"? I think the Air Force doesn't make any other service go through their bootcamp but there might be some kind of customs and courtesies course... I'm honestly clueless how long the Air Force takes to do anything but I do know the biggest hinderance in general is meeting the checks in the boxes and/or paperwork...

This just made me anxious. I'm trying to go in too, but the VA is keeping that from happening. Lol. Once I get my papers, I hope it'll go quickly. How long did your process take? Madalyn Pruett

In total so far it has taken about 11 months so I'm getting close to having been trying to re-enlist for a year
