I've just completed BOLC back in August and had my state push through my NGB 78 form to get the FED-REC process started as quick as possible. How long does it typically take for your packet to get picked up?
I've attached a snip it from the G1 site that shows my packet status.
Can anyone shed more light on this? I was told this process is longer now then it used to be for 2LT to 1LT promos..

L01-17 is the first list of your type, 2LT to 1LT for this FY. They just published 08-16 last week, and have up to 14-16 to do... so it will take awhile. Good timeline is ~150 days once in the tracker.
2LT to 1LT does get back pay, if that's any consolation.

Also, your date of rank will be back dated to your 18 month DOR date from commissioning, so it won't negatively effect you due to delay. This is not the case for 1LT to CPT and above.

For me, my DOR will be on August 4 2016 as that's when I graduated from BOLC....I met my 18 month way way back as I commissioned on August 20th, 2014

CPT (Join to see) - This is great stuff though! I'm hoping it moves along at a steady pace!

I'm on that L02-17 scroll as well. Theres a little more info on the process here. https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/why-is-there-such-a-long-wait-for-reserve-component-officer-and-warrant-federal-recognition-promotion?urlhash=2343551

Why is there such a long wait for reserve component officer and warrant federal...
Can anyone tell me why the process takes so long for RC officer/warrant promotions to run through the FedRec cycle? I'm an ARNG officer and I've had my state promotion orders for CPT since the middle of April. I've been tracking my packet on the ARNG-G1 website and it was awaiting addition to a scroll until a month ago and last week the scroll was ready to start the approval DoD cycle. Thoughts?

My question is after this:
Published: SO# 252; 2016-12-01
Number of Days 134
How long until it makes it back to the state level?

Did you check your IPERMS for your orders? My understanding is that once they are published they are uploaded to your IPERMS!

I have checked but they have not been posted to iPerms. Again, wondering what the timeline for this is?

After speaking with our state OPM, he told me the new process is taking much longer because they are running your background check before they cut your FEDREC orders and not after like they used to for O1-O2. Hang tight buddy, he said the average is about 10 months now. I'm sitting at 9 months now. One more month! ...hopefully. Lol

Just an FYI; an LT that just got to my unit had his COC send up his packet in MAY before completing BOLC & just got his promotion orders 2 days ago.....lol explain to me how that works

Probably lucky it didn't get rejected. They didn't review it until he was finally eligible. Kinda like leading your crosshairs when your target is moving lol

1LT (Join to see) - That would be great as I'm waiting for mine as well and everyone that I graduated OCS with and BOLC have all received there promotion months ago.

It was just updated but does anyone know the various steps that it goes through?
I can't seem to find anything online about it!

1.5 years is when your packet goes up. It has to go through state before being sent to Washington. Realistically about 2 years before you pin, but your date of rank is based on when you were promoted by the state

I was tracking that...I guess my question was more in concern to how long it takes to go through the FED-REC process....seems like it takes awhile!

Since your packet is already in the e-tracker, it should be within 6 months, though rumor has it that they are now conducting a background check in addition to your initial security clearance that can add some time. I would state mine as an example, but certain administrative issues held mine for much longer than it should have. That being said, once my packet hit the tracker, it moved right along.

ALSO: Can anyone make sense of the data in the "Description" field? The following was added as of this morning "L01-17"

2LT Andrew McQuaid - While tracking mine I only ever saw it change three times. I would say most of the offices don't update the G1 site.

CPT (Join to see) - Thanks for the heads up! I had low expectations for this process after researching how long it typically takes.

It takes an additional 35-45 days for the documents to make it back to the state level. Fed Rec published on 1 Dec 2016 and orders were sent to me 5 Jan 2017.

CPT (Join to see) - Thanks for the heads up! I would've thought that it would only take a few days for that to be completed but.....it meets that status quo for Fed Rec...congrats though!!!!!
