I've had more than one returning service member contact my company regarding potential employment. When I haven't been able to directly employ them I've gone miles outta my way to assist them in finding employment by contacting my colleagues.

One young Marine blindly faxed his resume to me. The resume was in need of some fine tuning and elaboration of his applicable education and experience. I stopped what I was doing, contacted him, held a 1 hour conversation and re typed his resume for him. I then emailed it back and pointed him in the direction of a few of my colleagues. He was employed within a few days. I see him from time in court and he's doing very well.

So, yes, I would welcome a returning service member. Furthermore, I speak of the above story not to boast, brag, or seek kudos. I tell it as an example of what we can do alternately.

After all, as at least Soldiers, do we not live by the values or selfless service and loyalty? Our ethos states, "I will never leave a fallen comrade." They haven't fallen, but if they need help.... Give it.

I wish all the Guard and Reserve members are treated like citizen soldiers.

I may soon be hiring salesmen for my import export business. If someone needs to deploy, i will manage their account until they get back. I may deploy next year so i would like someone who would do the same for me.
