SPC Joel Carter Sr - The two main groups, the Communists and the Nationalists formed one group (The Second United Front) to fight the Japanese in WW2. I'm sure there were many more sub groups and off faction groups fighting against the Japanese as well.

I am so amazed, there are so many question, like this one which can be researched on line and I know you got internet as you asked it here. So why not take the time and do your own research first?

So many " groups " even if talking Nations. In the British contingent,,, the number is mind numbing. There were types of city states as ancient Greece had back in History in the Asian Theater of Operations. Even in the European Theater, there were Scottish, Irish, African, Mediterranean, ... and with the eventual victory, they were quietly " thanked. "
