Construction is massive, they are preparing the camp for moving 8th Army and 2ID into it. The cover photo is from one of the high rise family housing apartments. They are currently housing over 11000 people now, plans are for over 42000.

One of the top assignments I ever had. The Hump was great and they are making it better. The downside to it growing was the long bus rides to get around the installation. Plus the buses got fuller with more units moving there.

CSM Carl Cunningham - Was just there last week on a visit via 2ID. This time was only a week, shorter then years past! 83-84 and 87-90 with 2ID, 91-00 was a contractor in the 2ID area!
