And thoughts, tattoo is art of experience, rememberable, personal desire of reflection. The right of Warrior to show pride of service.

I have 3. EGA, NCO Sword and one is MOS specific but only I know the story. I love them and wear them with pride because it says who I am.

I have USMC in Old English on my shoulder. As far as my thoughts on Service Tattoos I think it's fine to get them if the Service Member wants to. I understand why the Top Brass wants to ban them so everyone looks more "professional and friendly" P.R. Bullshit but to me just be smart have it put where clothing can cover it. It Sucks but there's still a stigma about Tattoos in the Real World so if you are going to an interview for an office gig neck, hand or finger tatts might be an issue. But if you aren't planning on Climbing that Corporate Ladder do what ever you want lol.

I think they aren't that big a deal. Most of them actually look pretty damn cool. But for ones that are new to the service, wait until you deploy or actually serve your first enlistment before getting one

I have two military tattoos, a sleeve of my left leg of original sailor jerry design with new age color and an anchor. I believe military tattoos are fine for service members because it shows are pride in military heritage and usually a great story as to where we got them. Militaries throughout history had soldiers that were tattooed so why should it be any different now

Im not opposed to it, in fact I would kinda like to get one jut as a fact to commemorate the period of my life that I am in. That being said I have no clue what I would actually get as a quartermaster. Maybe the QM crest over a DA 2062 background lol. Also some people like to go full hooah and display their entire ERB either through tats or bumper stickers. Whenever I see that it looks douchey and makes me second guess it.

Have Jump wings on my arm and the 509th Geronimo Patch on the inside of the same arm. Thing is I have scars on my body from the Army; that costed me more than any tatt.

I can only speak for myself but I am proud of mine and wouldn't change anything about it. It is amazing how many times conversations have started with other veterans because of it. I was proud to have served and have no shame whatsoever in having others know it. That being said, my tattoos are for me alone and I don't go out with the idea of showing them off/advertising. One in particular is a personal memorial and I prefer not to talk about it, just know that it's there.
