How many of you would prefer to wear color Shoulder Sleeve Insignia in garrison environments?

Since the Army moved on to the ASU, the color insignia of individual formations is no longer worn in any uniform. Some commands have made exception for special occasions such as change of command ceremonies or unit redeployments from combat areas. In garrison environments we wear the full color U.S. Flag on the ACU/OCP uniforms, but only wear subdued SSI. Since the SSI are now exclusively velcro backed and easily interchangeable, why not wear full color SSI's in garrison environments?

Or just be a part of these heart breakers and life takers and wear it downrange (Love the BRO)..... But other than that, I see no real reason why we couldn't wear colored patches in Garrison. It wouldn't be hard to do, but with the speed the Army works at times, our grand kids would still be waiting for this 15 years into their careers to be approved after going through 30 different service polls, multiple uniform boards, opinions by news pundits, and the massive amount of butthurt from units who have crappy colors in their patches.

This makes me think of my first unit. 1 ID, I got to wear the Big Red One for a couple of years then we moved to ASUs and now we can't wear it. To me it takes a little bit of the meaning/tradition away from the patch.

Not a major issue, but I'd honestly just want it to be one or the other. Full color flag with subdued SSI doesn't make sense to me. Full color flag with full color SSI? Great. Subdued flag with subdued SSI? Great. Just pick one.
Although I have to admit, USACC (and other units with only the colors black and gold in their patch) got lucky, since the OCP SSI looks somewhat gold anyway.

I guess if full color Geegaw's are important to you, have at the attempt to get it changed. I personally think its fairly inconsequential compared to other issues the Army has going on right now.
