How many RallyPoint Riders would like to meet at a central location for a Motorcycle rally and ride?

I've noticed we've got a lot of Harley and Motorcycle riding veterans, retirees, and active duty personnel here on RallyPoint.

What are your thoughts about putting together a rally and ride somewhere centrally located in the USA, so we could all meet up during the month of August 2016 or September 2016 for 5 to 6 days of riding, etc. Send your thoughts, a location, and a picture of your bike

To be honest I’d really like to meet somewhere but Sturgis is not on my list of “must attend” rallys. I’ve been once in the mid 80s and thought it was too crowded, too expensive, no place to stay and really not worth my time. There were real bikers, part time bikers, good bikers, bad bikers, new bikers, drunk bikers, topless bikers, asshole bikers and rich urban bikers (RUBs) who showed up in $300,000 RVs pulling their Chrome Queen Harleys. I don’t camp or bivouac anymore and I quit drinking 30+ years ago.
That being said, I would certainly consider meeting somewhere else.

Stugis is out..too crazy. Pierre is a pretty nice town with a lot of nice scenery in all directions.
Many good smooth safe state and,county roads in all directions.. Pierre itself, is big enough and as the capital it has a great many decent motels.

Pierre is also on the Missouri River so it's,always,cooler by the river. Typically as much as ten degrees.. there are,highways,running,up either side.

I'd like to take part in such a ride. I'm gone on the Run For The Wall in May and, like many others, finding gaps on my calendar is always an issue. But keep me in mind! Hard Rock
