Has anyone PCSed from Alaska to Arizona? How many travel days do you get? Or does anyone have the link that tells you all the travel days you’re authorized for all the different states?

How is travel distance and time computed when traveling by POV on PCS?
A traveler who is authorized PCS travel by POV is allowed one day of travel for every 350 miles between authorized points (JTR, par. 050205). The distance between authorized points is calculated using the DTOD. An additional day of travel is permitted if after dividing the total official distance by 350, the excess distance is 51 or more miles.

Travel Distance/Time by Privately Owned Conveyance (POC) - Frequently Asked Questions
A Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) is any transportation mode actually used for the movement of persons from place to place, other than a Government conveyance or common carrier. A vehicle rented or leased at personal expense by a Service member or civilian employee for transportation on PCS or TDY when such rental vehicle has not been authorized or approved is also a POV. This definition applies equally to official TDY or PCS travel.

I think Finance will determine your total mileage. Also, don't rush the travel, be safe! Make sure your GTC is working and out process DTS.

Every 350 miles is one day of travel. Just map it from Alaska to Arizona and divide those miles by 350. Easy!

It depends if you do a DITY move (which I don't think you can). DITY moves allow for 1 day per 800 miles of travel. You can find this information in the Joint Federal Travel Regulation.

When I drove from Alaska to Washington state back in the "cave man" days, I took 2 weeks, fished along the way, and had a great time. Enjoy the trip!

SGT (Join to see) - Before leaving, see the DTS Admin for detaching you from the losing unit. If you don't do that, the receiving unit can't add you and therefore will not have the ability to make inputs in DTS on your behalf. When you get to the gaining unit make sure you in process with DTS.

This is technically an overseas assignment. You should get one travel day for the flight.
