I might be interested in having part of my 34 years in the military covered in a book MAJ Scott Meehan. Certain parts could never be included for security reasons and many others might bore people to tears.

Thanks LTC Ford and I perfectly understand the security aspects. At the very least you'll have something published on paper for you and your family.
The first step is to visit PTSIO.org and subscribe for a free newsletter found on the home page. PTSIO Publishing has just launched and is moving forward with Publishing consultants, editors, coaching, cover designers, website builders, etc. all for the veteran and their family member (spouse, parent, child, sibling).

Sure, but being Preventive Medicine, my stories wouldn't be all that interesting. Some are a bit on the funny side for verbal story telling, but not really worthy for print.

Well sir, the last year I was still in was the worst all because of my chain of command who failed me and I wouldn't want that out because I loved the army

I would focus on the positive but of course share the lessons learned from the negative without implicating anyone by name.
