I'm proud of the service and even more so of the guys with whom I served.  Wouldn't take anything for it and miss my friends.  I'm not so proud of my waist size here lately!!!

About the only ball cap I wear is my Vietnam Veteran cap. Does that give you an idea?

I am VERY proud to have served my country in the greatest Army on the face of this earth. I am proud as well of my brothers and sisters who have served in all branches of the armed forces. We chose to protect our country and defend our freedoms. These are things that many would not chose to do, but we did! Hooah!

With everything I through while in I would never change a thing. Except one. I wish I didn't get injured and got discharged. I wanted to stay in for at least 30 if not longer. I wear my scars with honor knowing I received them in service to my country.

I am, it has taught me a lot and has opened a lot of doors for me that I otherwise would never have. As a result of these opportunities, I am very proud of what I have done and where I stand today.

I kind of don't get this type of question. I mean I just can't comprehend why someone would not be proud of serving in the military, even if you were not completely thrilled with your time in uniform, as long as you never dishonored yourself or committed crimes regularly would you really question yourself on your pride in serving?

PO1 Glenn Boucher, my Brother-in-Law certainly was NOT proud of his service in the Air Force. He even scoffed at his medals; as I recall.
And, PO1 Glenn Boucher, what I am attempting to accomplish with my Discussion questions: is to engage the Rally Point community....to allow our RP members to express themselves.

SPC Margaret Higgins, I do understand your trying to get a view point and obviously my view point is not to your liking which I respect.
I can only guess that your brother in law had some issues with service and that's why he is not proud of his time in the USAF, and there is much more to his story than any of us know.
I am proud of what I do every single day because I know I am going out and doing my best. I am far from perfect, I make mistakes, sometimes big mistakes, but I learn from them and as long as I do nothing criminal or put anyone else in danger through carelessness then I will be proud of every single day of my life.
Yes I have had bad times when I was in the Navy, not one person can honestly say that their time in service was all cheerful and perfect, we all served under and with terrible people but I think our service under and with the better people far outweigh the bad ones.
Be proud every day that you are doing the right thing and living an honest life.

I consider it an honor to serve. I take every day of continued service as a privilege. I am humbled to run within the ranks of greatness, and my hear pours for the sacrifices made by my brothers and sisters at arms..
